Royal Mail’s Part Postcode Address File (Part PAF)

This is our second most popular file after Full PAF.  Produced as an alternative to the full PAF file, it is popular as it is firstly much smaller, containing 1.9 million address records rather than the 32 million found on Full PAF, and secondly significantly reduces the licence fee.

Applications

The Royal Mail’s ‘Part’ Postcode Address File (PAF), is often used to capture, create and or maintain your in-house address lists.  This includes web site registrations, forms and customer databases to reduce the number of returned or undelivered items from mailing programs.  Obviously there are many more applications that you can use the Postcode Address File (PAF) file for including mailing, planning leaflet distribution, door dropping logistics and navigation to name just a few of the applications!

Coverage

The Postcode Address File (PAF) file covers all circa. 1,791,296 Postcodes,  and associated Street / Road Name, Locality, Town Name, Postcode and the Postcode’s Grid Reference. The file essentially covers every Postcode in the UK and consists of the very same fields you find in Full PAF but less property numbers & names.
